Dr. Hovmand studies how service delivery networks evolve and impact organizational performance, with applications to areas related to male violence (child welfare, domestic violence) and implementation of evidence based practices in mental health services. Other interests include feminist theory, philosophy of language and mathematics, and application of technology to social work. Dr. Hovmand teaches human diversity, designing sustainable policies and programs, and research methods. He is also serves as coordinator of the School’s foundation curriculum and on the board of RAVEN, a St. Louis batterer intervention and youth violence prevention program.
