China InstituteDean Lawlor lectures at China Institute

A partnership between Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Peking University in Beijing, in conjunction with the Brown School, hosts an annual summer institute where students can learn about critical social policy issues.

In the past, select students and faculty traveled to Beijing to learn more about aging in China and its implications for policy and practice.   Read more about last year's China Institute.

“The institute is more than just a partnership,” says Director of International Programs Gautam N. Yadama.  “It is a way to build a learning community among the three schools where joint research and teaching opportunities can be identified.”

This summer students will travel to Hong Kong and Xian, China where they will study the trends, consequences, and interventions of mental health in China and the United States.
