Description:
We propose to develop and launch a new research core through the Clinical and Translational Research Funding Program of the Barnes-Jewish Hospital Foundation and the WU ICTS. A Dissemination and Implementation Research Core (DIRC) will make available to ICTS investigators the methodological expertise required to advance translational research in health. Dissemination and implementation research (D & I) constitutes the scientific study of how to move efficacious health practices from clinical knowledge into routine, real-world use. Per the NIH CTSA program announcement, the DIRC will focus on the second of two areas of translational research, constituting research to inform the adoption of best practices in the community.
