Sally Haywood has served as administrator of the Center
for Mental Health Services Research (CMHSR) since 1994
and has extensive experience in research administration,
both at Washington University and in community
agencies. She is responsible for coordination of
federally funded research projects on mental health
services and implementation and for coordination of an
infrastructure to support scientific research. She
facilitates pilot research projects within the CMHSR’s
substantive niche through the 6-18 month process from
initial idea, pilot testing, grant proposal submission,
funding and implementation.
Ms. Haywood serves as a
liaison between the center and several of its partner
agencies, particularly the Center’s agency-network core
collaboration, the Research Network Development Core
with publicly-funded, state, child welfare and aging
services.
